ANTHEM by CMONEY Ended Seven Months Without a Single, in 97 Seconds of Self-Produced Rap

Caleb Dortch Put the Single Out Through UnitedMasters, a Year to the Day After Bigger

ANTHEM by CMONEY lasts 97 seconds, and one person made all of it. CMONEY is the rap name of Caleb Dortch, who wrote, produced and released the single on 2 October 2026, the first new CMONEY song since ICE EM in March.

CMONEY’s ANTHEM is in the playlist below, and the CMONEY profile gathers the coverage our titles have given the artist. The single reached this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news sites. Press play on all 97 seconds first, then read on for the calendar behind the comeback.

Six CMONEY Singles Between December and March, Then Nothing New Until ANTHEM

The months before ANTHEM were busy ones. Cold World came out on 19 December 2025 and Trends on New Year’s Eve. I’m Him followed on 8 January, SIGNS on 5 February, Feel Me on 26 February and ICE EM on 5 March. That is six singles in eleven weeks, and every one of them sits on CMONEY’s own UnitedMasters page.

Then the run paused. Nearly seven months passed between ICE EM and the next single, and ANTHEM is the record that ended the wait. It arrived on a Friday, the day most new releases reach the streaming services.

The return date has a history of its own. On 2 October 2025, CMONEY released Bigger, so ANTHEM arrived a year to the day later. The calendar rhymes in the other direction too. ICE EM came out on 5 March 2026, a year to the day after the three singles that open the UnitedMasters catalogue: NEW WAVE, HOT SHIT (FREESTYLE) and MY SONS DISS.

That first year moved at a gentler pace. Demon Time followed the opening trio three weeks later, and FLICKA arrived in June. The end of that month then brought NO CRED, a collaboration with HBK, and Real $hit on consecutive days.

Ninety-Seven Seconds Written, Produced and Owned by Caleb Dortch

The credits for ANTHEM keep the circle small. Spotify lists Caleb Dortch as composer, lyricist and studio producer, and CMONEY as the main artist and vocalist. In other words, the whole record is the work of one person. The copyright and the recording rights also sit in CMONEY’s name, and Dortch’s Instagram takes bookings for studio sessions.

The single went out through UnitedMasters, the distributor Steve Stoute founded in November 2017 with a $70 million first round led by Alphabet. In 2018 it opened its Releases service. Artists upload their music and artwork there and send them to the major streaming platforms without a label in between. ANTHEM travelled that route to Spotify and Apple Music.

Short songs are the rule in this catalogue rather than the exception. Every CMONEY single of 2026 has come in under two minutes, from SIGNS at 95 seconds to I’m Him and ICE EM at 116. ANTHEM, at 97, is the second shortest of the year. Shorter still is HOT SHIT (FREESTYLE), a 72-second freestyle from that first day in March 2025.

What ANTHEM Answers About the Independent Rap Catalogue CMONEY Builds One Short Single at a Time

A long pause in a catalogue this steady raises a simple question: was the run over? ANTHEM answered it, and the pace came back at once. Four weeks later, on 31 October, CMONEY released watashi wa star, a title that is Japanese for “I am a star”. On Spotify, that single already heads the list of CMONEY’s most-played songs. The next one, Bel’air, is open for pre-saves.

Dortch’s Instagram fills in the rest of the picture. One post bills 2026 as a hot year for CMONEY and shares snippets of songs not yet released. Others tag the music as original and underground, and keep returning to the idea of stars, of shooting for them and of being among them. Read beside a single called watashi wa star, that thread looks deliberate.

Where ANTHEM Sits Beside 21 Savage, Key Glock and Young Nudy

Spotify’s radio for CMONEY builds its queue around 21 Savage, Key Glock and Young Nudy. Each of them throws light on a different side of this catalogue. 21 Savage began recording in 2013 and put out three independent mixtapes before Savage Mode, the 2016 EP with Metro Boomin, reached No. 23 on the Billboard 200. CMONEY is at that independent stage now.

Key Glock is a rapper, songwriter and record producer, the same mix of jobs Dortch holds on ANTHEM. Key Glock’s debut studio album, Yellow Tape, reached No. 14 on the Billboard 200 in 2020 and went gold. Young Nudy, 21 Savage’s cousin, has kept up a steady rhythm too, with seven albums between Anyways in 2020 and Just Doin Me in 2026. CMONEY’s habit of releasing single after single follows the same instinct on a smaller scale.

That makes ANTHEM a single for listeners who like their rap short, confident and to the point. It also suits anyone who follows an independent artist release by release rather than waiting for an album.

On NewMusic.News, ANTHEM now sits in our Hip-Hop, Conscious Hip Hop and Producer Rap playlist.

From the NewMusic.News curator team: “Most of the songs in our hip-hop playlist run past three minutes. ANTHEM makes its case in 97 seconds and leaves room for a second play, and that is why we added it.”

Stream ANTHEM on Spotify and Apple Music, then follow CMONEY on Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram and TikTok, and find the full catalogue on UnitedMasters.
